Dr Leanda Lintzen

Leanda started her practice 'Dr. Leanda Lintzen Osteopathy' in 2021 after returning to her hometown Warragul to be closer to family and friends.

She completed her osteopathic qualifications at Victoria University in Melbourne in 2018; following five years of study she attained a Bachelor of Science (Clinical) and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). During her training, Leanda also attended the University College of Osteopathy in London on a placement to further her clinical skills.

On completion of her studies Leanda moved to Western Australia to work and develop her skills as an Osteopath. Having always loved helping and caring for others, the holistic practice of osteopathy was the perfect career path.

Leanda also works as a Registered Nurse in the local area, completing a Bachelor of Nursing in 2007. She has maintained her strong focus on patient advocacy and provides an empathic and caring approach to treatment.

Osteopathy Appointment

Utilising a combination of osteopathic and nursing knowledge, Leanda thoroughly enjoys empowering and helping her patients manage their musculoskeletal complaints and improve their function by providing manual therapy, advice and education. She enjoys seeing outcomes of improvement in mobility and decreased pain levels to enable her patients to get the most out of their life. She has a special interest in treating headaches, neck and lower back complaints, and shoulder dysfunction and pain. She also has an interest in dry needling therapy and finds it extremely useful in treating a wide range of complaints including tendinopathy.

Leanda complements her osteopathic and nursing knowledge with ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD), as per Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) requirements.

Outside the practice Leanda enjoys heading to all the local attractions and trying out the new cafes in the area. When able, she also loves heading to the beach with her family and friends. In her younger years Leanda also loved to travel, some of her favourite countries include Spain, Tanzania, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.
